Harry Potter Go: Harry Potter’s fans, the magic is coming to the real world. The developer behind the smash hit app Pokemon Go, have already reportedly started to work on a new game set in the Hogwarts Universe.
Harry Potter Go Game For Android and IOS
Their huge successful game “Pokemon Go”, Harry Potter fandom took to promoting the idea and went so far as to petition Warner Bros and Niantic to come up with “Harry Potter GO.”
Niantic is not wasting time and acquiring the rights for a Harry Potter version app and planning for the bigger surprise to ride on the success of the popular Magic franchise.
Marcus Figueroa, Niantic’s senior developer, shared in an interview that they will be focusing on a Harry Potter GO app in the future, and shared some of the plans they intend to have in the upcoming game:

“We have acquired the rights for the app. The demand for this title was insane, so we figured we’d give it a shot. If we’re lucky, we might see a launch by early 2017, but it’s hard to tell this early in the project.”
“We want to do something with schools of witchcraft and wizardry, similar to Pokemon Go in Pokemon GO. As wells a quest system, and possibly large-scale completely interactive events, but no promises. That’s all I can say.”
Game Play Options
The production of the game is yet to begin, but the pretty large universe of magic has much to offer regarding gameplay. The petition clamouring the support for the game has pretty much indicated what could be the part of the game.
Deathly Hallows
Another harder part of gameplay could involve the players going to find the Deathly Hallows. The three most powerful magical items consisting of the Elder Wand, Invisibility Cloak, and the Resurrection Stone could be an essential part of the game.
Horcruxes
The pieces of Voldemort’s soul that Harry set to destroy in the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows could be an essential part of the game. Players could set to search for parts of missing soul of You-Know-Who and along the way pick other items to help them in their quest.
Dueling Clubs
There is another interesting gameplay suggested by YahooFinance is dueling clubs. This could form part of the competition between friends and foes alike to pick up points against each other.
Until then fans have the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play to look forward to, though it is only available in London. The next in line movie inspired by the universe Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be out in November.
Harry Potter GO is expected to be released sometime in late 2017.
