Google’s Secret OS May Replace Android Leaked Video | Google Fuchsia OS

Google Fuchsia OS is a capability-based, operating system currently being developed by Google. It first becomes known to the public when the project appeared on GitHub in August 2016 without any official announcement.

Fuchsia works precisely the same no matter how big a screen is, and we finally have a working version that you can download on a Pixelbook right now.

Google Fuchsia OS May Replace Android Leaked Video

Fuchsia is based on a new microkernel called “Zircon”, derived from “Little Kernel”, a small operating system intended for embedded systems, which was developed by Travis Geiselbrecht. Upon inspection, media outlets noted that the code posted on GitHub suggested Fuchsia’s capability to run on universal devices, from embedded systems to smartphones, tablets and personal computers.

In May 2017, Fuchsia was updated with a user interface, along with a developer writing that the project was not a “dumping ground of a dead thing”, prompting media speculation about Google’s intentions with the operating system, including the possibility of it replacing Android.

Google Fuchsia Release Date

There is no official release date of Google Fuchsia but there is a possible chance that Google’s new Fuchsia OS can release this year.

Google Fuchsia Operating system

Fuchsia’s user interface and apps are written with “Flutter”, a software development kit allowing cross-platform development abilities for Fuchsia, Android and iOS.

Flutter produces apps based on Dart, offering apps with high performance that run at 120 frames per second. Flutter also offers a Vulkan-based graphics rendering engine called “Escher”, with specific support for “Volumetric soft shadows”, an element that Ars Technica wrote “seems custom-built to run Google’s shadow-heavy “Material Design” interface guidelines”.

Due to the Flutter software development kit offering cross-platform opportunities, users are able to install parts of Fuchsia on Android devices. Ars Technica noted that, while users could test Fuchsia, nothing “works”, adding that “it’s all a bunch of placeholder interfaces that don’t do anything”, though finding multiple similarities between Fuchsia’s interface and Android, including a Recent Apps screen, a Settings menu, and a split-screen view for viewing multiple apps at once.

Whatsapp Soon Going To Launch New Feature WhatsApp Pay

WhatsApp is working towards incorporating a new segment in its chat platform. The Facebook-owned company is aiming to provide its users with a new feature which will enable them to make and receive payment within the app and they name it can be WhatsApp Pay

Everything You Need To Know About WhatsApp pay

This will be the first time that WhatsApp is introducing the payments feature WhatsApp Pay anywhere in the world.

The feature is in its final stages and WhatsApp employees are testing it out the WhatsApp pay, according to a person with knowledge of the plan.

“They are likely to do some sort of an extended beta program for the feature in November and by December you can expect a full rollout,” the person said, asking to stay anonymous.

The Facebook-owned company has partnered with three banks – State Bank of India, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank, three of India’s biggest banks, to launch WhatsApp pay.

WhatsApp-pay, whatsapp pay, whatsapp payment

The uniqueness of the WhatsApp payments or WhatsApp pay feature is that a user can make payments without leaving the chat interface just like sharing a contact or location on the instant messenger. According to the person quoted earlier, who has worked closely with WhatsApp, a window with a Rupee symbol will pop up alongside buttons that allow users to share a location or a contact when a user clicks on the attach symbol in the chat window.

On clicking the Rupee button (in India), the user can either send or request money. The user can input the amount to be paid and personal identification number before hitting send. On the other end, the receiver will get a notification, similar to the one when you receive a contact. There is an option to accept or reject the request.

In April, The Ken had reported that WhatsApp was working on the feature and is likely to roll that out in the next 6 months. A Twitter user, Raj S, on Saturday tweeted: “Just saw a couple of WhatsApp #UPI screens; payments players should start shitting bricks right now. No, seriously.”

Near zero cost of customer acquisition

WhatsApp’s entry into space threatens digital wallet companies, as the instant messenger counts over 200 million users in India, the largest user base it has in the world. The WhatsApp experience is slick and convenient to make payments, as per users who have seen the feature.

This is the first time WhatsApp is launching a feature like this anywhere in the world. What makes it easy for the company is that India has built a payments stack called unified payments interface, which makes it easy for others to integrate with the banks.

“The market is absolutely ripe for a WeChat like play,” points out Jasminder Gulati, the co-founder of Nowfloats. His company helps small and medium businesses build a presence online. Small and medium business across India use WhatsApp extensively to do business. Consulting firm Zinnov estimates that nearly 2 million women sell products using WhatsApp and Facebook, totalling sales of $8-9 billion. This is projected to grow to $48-60 billion by 2022, Zinnov said.

To understand why this is so powerful, A similar trend was adopted by the Chinese equivalent of WhatsApp – WeChat. Being a chat platform, WeChat had launched a payment option for its users and since then, has become a major player in the payments market. If WhatsApp is able to roll-out this feature efficiently, it may become a tough competitor for the existing payment platforms in India including Paytm, Mobikwik and others.

In the first quarter of 2017, WeChat Pay had nearly 40% market share in China while Alipay had about 54% share, according to research firm Analysys. In 2014, Alipay had 80% market share. China’s mobile payments sector is estimated to be about $5.5 trillion in size.

With the payments interface, India has become a sort of ground zero for digital payments innovation. Companies like Google, Amazon and Uber are getting in on the action alongside players like PhonePe, Paytm and MobiKwik.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Specification, Release Date, Price Revealed

Venture Beat, thanks to the ever-brilliant Evan Blass, has secured an image of the Samsung Galaxy S8 in all of its glory, it would appear. There are some things to rejoice about and some things that aren’t so good. Many of these things aren’t a huge surprise, given the leak that came via The Guardian earlier this week.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Specification, Release Date, Price Revealed

First up is that rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, we knew from the leaks that the new phone would have a tiny top and bottom bezel and a curved edge. This means that there’s no room for a fingerprint scanner on the underside side of the front face. Take a look at the section below, and I’ll explain why I think this is a disappointment, given the technology available.

My real concern is about the proximity of that fingerprint scanner to the camera. It may sound like a stupid thing, but it’s going to result in people smearing finger grease all over the camera lens. This isn’t the end of the world, but I often find with my iPhone that finger grease can mount up and ruin images. When you’re snapping things quickly, there often isn’t time to wipe the lens first.

samsung galaxy s8, galaxy 8s, galaxy 5s leaked, galaxy s8 specification,

You’ll also note that claims of the headphone jack being removed are widely disproven by this leak. That’s interesting given that Apple hasn’t suffered too much for the dropping of the now-ancient port. Bluetooth headphones and dongles are familiar enough not to cause many problems, and HTC is rapidly moving away from including headphone jacks and using USB-C instead. The bonus of this, on HTC phones, is that they can measure your ears to give better audio quality, and also include noise canceling.

Two models, there’s no “flat” phone this year

The leaks currently suggest two devices, one of the 5.8-inches and one of 6.2. Now I know every one of you reads all of my posts like a gripping novel, so there’s no need to remind you that I wrote about this sizing plan before. But prior information suggested a 0.1-inch smaller screen, at 7.7-inches, which the new report rules out.

samsung galaxy s8, galaxy 8s, galaxy 5s leaked, galaxy s8 specification,
Concept Samsung Galaxy S8

As predicted, the flat S7 has been replaced with a curved model of a different size. I’m all for this; I think it’s a sensible idea although I would like to have seen the smaller handset be 5.5-inches or even lower. I say this because I maintain that the S6 Edge is Samsung’s best phone.

Same same, but different

Although the processors are moving to a 10mm process – which is critical – the phones aren’t changing all that much internally. These are still quad-HD screens that have 4GB of RAM. There’s a boost to the baseline internal storage, which is now 64GB and the microSD slot that Samsung brought back to thunderous applause can give you a 256GB increase if you fancy splashing the cash on a high-capacity card.

Other than those small tweaks, these phones are technically very similar to the S7. It’s, therefore, the design which is going to sell these devices. And I suspect that their new screen ratio – Venture Beat says it’s 18.5:9 instead of 16:9, the standard widescreen ratio – will be the thing that sells this phone as most impressive to general consumers.

USB-C is, apparently included. The image makes it look a bit like those are microUSB ports, but that would be insanity – Samsung already introduced USB-C on the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7, and it wasn’t responsible for the phones problems.

Batteries drop very slightly in capacity, but with a gain from the move to 10nm processors it’s quite unlikely that the real-world battery life will be reduced over last year’s models. And you’ll get a more powerful phone with a much-improved graphics system.

Nokia 6 with 4GB RAM, Android 7.0 Nougat announced: Specifications, Price, and features

Nokia smartphones made re-entry with the launch of Nokia 6 on Sunday.

“After securing the exclusive Nokia brand licensing rights in mobile phones in late 2016, HMD Global Oy (“HMD”) is proud to announce the launch of its Nokia 6 smartphone in China”, said HMD in a press release on Sunday.

Official Nokia 6 Android Smartphone

The company claims that the Nokia 6 has been manufactured with consumers’ needs, quality, and durability in mind. HMD added that the phone would set a new standard in design, material quality, and manufacturing innovation across every tier of its products by building on the hallmarks of a real Nokia phone experience.

So far, the Nokia 6 is exclusive to China and has been priced at 1699 CNY (approximately Rs 16,750). It will be available for purchase in early 2017 through It also marks the brand’s first device to come powered with Google’s Android OS.

Features of the Nokia 6:

The device boasts an aluminum unibody design

A 5.5-inch in-cell full HD display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass on top.

The gadget is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with X6 LTE modem

It has 4GB of RAM and 64 GB on internal storage which can be further expanded via microSD card.

The smartphone is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat.

In the photography segment, the Nokia 6 features a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF along with an 8-megapixel front snapper with f/2.0 aperture for selfies or video calling.

The phone is powered by a 3,000mAh battery, and the sound output is equipped with Dolby Atmos.

HMD Global indicated that the Nokia 6 wouldn’t be the only device releasing this year.

In December 2016, HMD took over the Nokia feature phone business and under a licensing deal attained rights to use the Nokia brand on all phones and tablets for the next decade. The company will pay Nokia royalties for the name and patents, but Nokia has no direct investment in HMD.
